Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Network Engineer Lead to join our team. As a Network Engineer Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing our organization’s network infrastructure of internal, back office, data center, cloud and with partners. This role is critical to ensuring seamless connectivity, robust security, and high availability of network services to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead, mentor and allocate task to the network engineer and ensure the teams meets performance metrics and SLAs
– Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud-based network solutions
– Manage and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
– Implement and maintain security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and access controls to safeguard data and network integrity
– Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime by proactively identifying and resolving issues.
– Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades to enhance reliability. Escalate issues to line managers or vendors/suppliers when an incident happens
– Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, policies, and procedures
– Work closely with IT leadership, application teams, and external vendors to align network operations with business needs
– Work closely with IT, software development, and other departments to understand network requirements and implement tailored solutions such as establishing VPN with partners, implementing firewall rules
– Work with the security team at HQ for network devices patch, firmware update and any urgent request for security concern
– Troubleshooting, restoring and prevention of network connectivity and back office system issues
– Respond to and manage critical network incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and root cause analysis
– Provide regular updates on network performance and operational metrics to management
– Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve network reliability and scalabilit
– Drive automation initiatives to streamline operational workflows and reduce manual intervention.
Qualifications:
– B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus
– At least 3 years working as Network/IT infrastructure engineer
– Strong understanding of IT production environments
– Proficiency in configuring and managing networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
– In-depth understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
– Experience with network monitoring tools
– Familiarity with Cloudflare, F5, Cisco switches, PA Firewall, and Fortigate.
– Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to perform under pressure during critical situations.
– Familiarity with cloud networking is a plus
– Good communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
– Good written and spoken English.
